Expect the Unexpected I guess

It's so weird.
Sometimes you'll meet someone you never expect to meet at the most unexpected place and time.
Then the weirdest things just happen.

But I'm glad I met this one person and that particular place and time.

That person was exceptionally nice to me.
At first very annoying and I thought that person was gay.
But it turned out that,
that person wasn't.

I never expect anything from that person, but I get something anyway.
Thought this was some crazy person, but got a helping hand.
I never expected a text from halfway across the world, but I got one anyway.
Did not expect so much love and care, but I got it regardless.
Never expected to be such value to someone, but I was anyway.
So many surprises.

I was just thinking about a few memories that I'll keep to myself.
All the laughter, smiles and fuzzy feeling.
Thinking about it makes me smile.
Puts a sunshine in my dark cloud.
It gives me a heavy-heart as well.

I know that person will never read this,
but ...
Thank You.
I'm forever grateful.

Remember to keep that present I gave you in that red box you call a heart.

Unexpected Kitty! w/ Response from Alan

I got a cute little soft toy kitty from Alan today!
How nice! Thanks Alan! ^^
Really appreciate it.
Although I don't really know what I did to deserve a present from him.

So, Alan... did you have a hard time finding my house? Hahaha.
and I know I was really dressed up badly when I walked out of the house.
I was wearing a giant sweater and my old brown shorts.
My hair was tied up and messy.
Almost no one knows how I look like with my hair tied up.
Even if they've seen me with my hair tied up,
I bet they forgot. XD
I bet I looked like a Hobo too. hahaha

So, Alan how long did it take you to find my house? =P

and why did you leave in such a hurry?

I had brownies for you!!!!
Jeeze man.

When I got the message that Alan was coming, I felt bad that he was going to give me something and I'd have nothing in return. So I baked brownies.

HOWEVER,

When you showed up at my house, and when I got the present from you, and then when I turned around and I was walking into my house when I remembered the brownies.
UNFORTUNATELY, you were far far far away.
=.=

Dude, next time,
I'm going to your house to give you brownies!

After Boxing Day

So Boxing Day is the day after Christmas. It's when people usually go shopping, but I went the day after that. There was A LOT of sales!

My mom took my bro, sis and I to Payless and we bought 7 pairs of shoes. NOT EACH! All together 7 pairs. I got 2 1/3 pairs of shoes. Will you're probably wondering what the 1/3 is. My mom, sis and I bought a pair of boots that fits all 3 of us. Hehe

Anyway, it was pretty fun. For once I could find shoes that FIT ME! Not like when I was in Malaysia. O-M-G, the LARGEST ADULT women shoes usually do not fit me. I get pissed of. My favorite type of shoes were sneakers. Those are big, comfy and they actually fit me.

Then we went to Ralphs and bought some juice and shared a 12" sub-sandwich. That was fast. We were done in I think 20mins. Then it was off to Glendale Mall. We need winter jackets, water-prooft kinds, and gloves and hats/beanies. You know why? Cuz we're going to the mountains. XD I'm excited.

We didn't buy much. I bought one shirt, kind of, from this shop called "Impression". I love it. The color is a deep dark metallic midnight blue. It feels so smooth like silk. It's like those shawls. I don't know how to decribe it. I should take a picture and post it!!! >.<

We walked around went into a lot of shops. It was kind of fun. I'm not the kind of girl that likes shopping. I guess it was because I was only window shopping and not trying on clothes and stuff. That is just annoying. put on, take off, put on, take off... vise versa... man like it never ends

Our last stop - My mom bought some stuff from Target. She got a car seat for my baby sister, Ellie, baby food, some college ruled paper, graph paper... hmmm... I think that's it.

Then we went home!!!

I know it seems short but we spent like 8 hours shopping walking around and stuff. hahaha

=D

Christmas Eve

Wow... I have not posted for quite a while. Nobody really comes in to read anything anyway. My blog is more like a place where I come to post about things I want people to know or realize about me that are usually things people don't really want to hear and I don't really want to tell. Sometimes its for fun. Sometimes its plain boredom.

I know depressing huh? Not really.

It X-mas eve! How exciting!!! For most people. >.>

This year and last year, my X-mas was just not the same. It was quite empty. I don't remember what I did last year. Its all a blank.

When I was in Malaysia, we didn't have the traditional Christmas, but WHO CARES?! You know why? Because I had my family. I don't just mean my "nuclear" family. I had my extended family and friends as well. Now, I don't have that.

My family. They're not here now. I don't have that love in my presence anymore. All I can do is send them a card with a note and write them an email. I can't get that hug. I can't see that smile. I can't hear their voices. And every time I write to them. I tell them it just isn't the same without them. And after I send that letter with them, I feel like those words are not enough and sometimes even meaningless.

I made new friends, but it just isn't the same. Yesterday, I went to the YUCA Christmas party.

And you know what I realize?

I realize I am not really wanted. I don't really fit in here or there. Everyone is so nice. So nice. But there is no acceptance. I just don't have that relationship with everyone else. Even though I have started to make friends, I still don't mean a thing. I did not go through elementary and middle school with them.

My friends are gone. 11 years of friendship just faded away when I boarded the plane. I know I made many friends. A lot are gone for good, but some are precious friends. Those are the ones I'll never find here. I look at the people around me and I sometimes wish mine were with me.

I stop and stare and wish. yeah. I do that a lot.

And when I want a hug, I can't have it.

Life sometimes sucks.

I want to rewind and hit the pause button.
Where is it?
Oh wait, there isn't one.

15th Birthday

Okay So I turned 15 today.

Woohoo?

I don't know what to say about this birthday.
It's not good.
It's not horrible.

This year...
I'm like... "asian grounded" on my birthday.

You know whats asian grounded.
You can only go out for school events.
Not friend events.

Anyway, I stayed home pretty much the whole day
except for 2 hours.
Those 2 hours,
I was at Target.
Buying clothes.
That was my birthday present.
Which I have to say I am pretty satisfied with.
I was not expecting anything.

Then my mom bought a cheesecake.
It was yummie ^^
I liked it.

Oh, I was studying in the morning
when my neighbor was outside my window screaming my name.
(She's only 6 btw)

"WAVERLIEEEE!!!!!!"
I look out the window.
I see her and she's got a huge smile on her face.
She was obviously holding something behind her back.
"I HAVE A PRESENT FOR YOU!!!"

I smiled a really big smile and I went outside.
She handed me a square envelope
that she obviously made herself.

The front said,
"HAPPY BIRTH-DAY!"
Shake it!
So I shook it.
And I heard metal noises coming from the inside.
My mom (who was right next to me) was like,
"IT'S MONEY!"
I was like.... "WHAT?"
And I opened it up from the back.
6 pennies fell out.
And there was a drawing inside.

It was soooo cute!
I wanted to hug her.
Unfortunately,
there was a fence in the way.
So I'll have to do it when she comes over to my house
or if I go over to hers.

Ooo Lilly Yu also gave me a card.
No present =(
hahaha.
Just kidding.
I really like the card
it is so pretty
and full of love
'cuz its homemade!

Inside it had a reallllyyy long note to me.

<3>
Oh she even called me up in the morning
and told me to wait in the main building
just so she could give me that card first thing in the morning!
I really appreciate it.

and thanks to everyone who greeted me
Happy Birthday!
Thanks! =D

Happy Birthday Ben!

Happy 18th Birthday Ben!

Thanks for inviting me to your birthday!
I had fun!
Bet you had loads of fun too XD
Must be awesome turning 18!
haha
Can't wait for mine! =P

Thanks Anson for picking me up!
=D
Then, to the Curry House.
Then, to the Karaoke place.
Finally, for driving me back home.
I really appreciate it. ^^

Thanks Ben for the late lunch.
XD
I am VERY sorry I could not finish it.
It was a HUGE plate of food.
I seriously don't eat that much.
I really enjoyed the food though.
Poor Jay (again)
He got the spicy curry!

Hahaha!
His whole face was turning red
And he was practically sweating like it was summer!
LOL
I tried it and it had that "wasabi" effect.
When you eat Wasabi, the smell goes up your nose
And makes your eyes water.

Okay, I did not finish my food.
So, Anson tried to feed me.
He was not successful.
haha.
Umm.... What can I say?
No thanks?
Hey, unless I'm a helpless little girl
And is desperate for food,

Yeah man, in THAT condition,
You can totally feed me.
LOL
He's a funny dude.
I like him.
He lightens up the atmosphere.

Thank you Jay for keeping me company.
I felt like a complete idiot.
I was just sitting there like a dummie.
You should buy me a "Karaoke for Dummies" book.
hahaha
I didn't know how to sing.
How was I suppose to know that
The point of Karaoke is NOT to sound good,
It was just to be LOUD
and pull your voice as HIGH as it can go
,
and man did you ALL do a good job beating my eardrums.

Especially Wanna and Ben.
Gosh, Wanna has such a powerful voice.
Ben, that guy just sings whatever.
He'll just shout the lyrics he sees on the screen.
And I felt the vibrations of the song too.
I felt like my heart beat came from the outside.
Hahaha.
You're all crazy people!
INSANE!

I also notice Anson kept hogging the microphone.
hahahaha

Oh I almost forgot to mention, Ben has a twin.
So it was not just HIS birthday.
LOL
Happy Birthday to Candy too!
Anson
Ben
Candy
LMAO.
You know,
this has also made me want to improve my Chinese.
Everyone but me were singing Chinese songs.
I felt like such an ABC,
Even though I don't really fit in as one.
But you know what?
It is OKAY
THIS IS AMERICA!!

Okay, so I could not join them for the rest of the party.
No cake for me. =(
hahaha
Its okay.
I already had an awesome time.

Halloween '08

Gosh... this halloween sucked.

I got like 5 pieces of candy. I wore the ugliest skirt in the world (Says Anthony).
I was just trying to be random. I wanted to be different, just because it was Halloween.

THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH CANDY!!!

Man... I WANTED CANDY!

Oh I had to walk around school with a box of donuts for the whole morning. I forgot to post a post that I got another postition for Gear Up. Instead of a treasurer position, I got a new one in the 9th grade training board.

Anyway, since I was in the Executive board, I had to sell donuts. It was not an option. So, before school, during 1st and 2nd period, I only sold 2 donuts. I was really discouraged, because I expected it to be a piece of cake.

Finally when it was nutrition, I went to my AP Biology teacher and sold her one. She bought one out of pity. I did not really care why she bought it. Just as long as she bought it. LOL

Next I went to my locker. Everytime I go to my locker, I always pass by a group of FOB guys that hang out right outside my 1st period class. Ben and Jay hangs out there!! I went over and asked them if they wanted to buy any. GUESS WHAT?!

I sold 6 donuts in one shot!!! That's like HALF of what I had. THANK YOU FOBBY GUYS!!!

No offence. =X

I was sooooooooo happy. =D

I sold the rest in the cafeteria. This one freshman guy bought a donut from me even though his friend that was sitting right next to him was selling donuts too. I felt bad for her, but seriously, I didn't care why they bought it. Just as long as they buy it!!

Then the very last one, I sold it to this girl named Catherine. She's in my World History class. I am so grateful she bought the VERY LAST ONE!!!!

YAY!!!

So when I was done, I went to the Gear Up office and turned in the money! Hoorah! XD

-----------------------------------

I did not go Trick or Treating that night. I went to FongYi's house. I was in charge of the games. It did not go so well. I need to think of better games. Seriously, I don't think that many people enjoyed the game.

=X

Anyway, it was an OKAY Halloween.

In 10 minutes?!

Yesterday (Sunday) was a pretty slow day for me until sunset came.

Around 4:30ish in the afternoon, my parents went out for a walk in the park. Then I got a text from Ben.

Ben - "You want to play badminton?"

Me - "Sure"

*Then I wondered where*

"Where are we going to play?"

"I will be at your house in 10 minutes"

*WHAT!?*

*I get a call from Ben*

"HEY! Where is your house?!"

*Hears other people laughing in the background*

"Um... where are you? Are you at Solano?"

"I think so. Let me check the road sign... Yeah at Solano."

"How'd you know I lived around there?!"

"I'm with Jay and my brother!"

*Oh, that explained things. Jay's been to my house."

"Oh Okay. No wonder. So go up the hill and my house is somewhere there."

"Okay."

"I'll come out and look for you."

"Okay."

I walk out of my house and I see a car right in front of my house. There were three guys in the car. I saw Jay, Ben and another guy. He looked like Ben, so I figured he was Ben's older brother.

*Jay opens the car door*

Jay - "Get in the car!"

*I look at Jay*

"Are you crazy?! I have to take care of my baby sister (and my brother and other sister)!"

"Bring them!"

*I look at their 5 seater car*

"Oh sure, pack another 4 people in your car?"

*They don't know what to say*

"I'll meet you at the park when my parents get home."

Ben - "Okay! We wait for you there."

Ben's brother (Anson) - "How do we get there?"

*I point at the road*

"What if we get lost?"

"Well.... There is a Police Academy there!"

*We all laughed*

"Okay! We meet you there!"

And they drove off.

Anyway, my parents weren't home yet. So, I could not go to the park yet. I had to wait for about half an hour for my parents. When they came home, they were like,

Mom - "We saw a bunch of teens play badminton with tennis rackets on the tennis courts."

"Really? I think those are my friends. They stopped by just now. Can I go play badminton with them?"

"Ok"

And I ran to off to the park. When I got there, I saw a girl. I was wondering who it was. When I got closer, I realized it was Annie Sun!! What a surprise! XD It was also nice knowing I was not going to be the only girl. haha

Anway, we had a good time play badminton. Annie, Jay and I were one team and Ben and his Bro was one team.

Jay was pretty unlucky. He got hit by the shuttle twice by Annie. The first time it hit him in the stomach. The second time, it looked like it hit him right on his face and bounced away 90 degrees! LMAO it was funny. I know it doesn't sound funny when I describe it, but it was really funny when he got hit. LMAO. The third time, Anson hit Jay. LOL

Poor Jay.

Anyway, it was getting dark and my dad called so I had to go home. The others came with me. Anson had to go pick on his sister so he didn't come in. Well, the first thing that really made me laugh was Ben's facial expression when he saw the online game my brother was playing.

My brother was playing this Cartoon Network game. It had to do with "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends". It was really funny. It was a cart going downhill and some weird yellow thing in it making funny screaming noises. At the back was a boy (that my brother controlled) that was pulling the cart.

When Ben saw it, LMAO, his face was like a mixture of astonishment, dumb-foundedness and stupidity all in one expression. HAHA
His head was even tilted a little bit that gave it that funny look!

Everyone was laughing.

No offence Ben. haha.

Well everyone don't get the wrong idea. Ben's not dumb. He's a pretty awesome person. I'd say a very interesting person. He's got a very mischievous smile. Apparently, girls like his smile. HAHA. Seriously. I know a few girls who like and liked him.

Back to the story.

They were also "suppose" to stay for dinner because I invited them and my parents did not say no. But Annie's dad called and they had to leave.

How unlucky =(

Oh well, next time right? haha

=P

*Sniffles*

Man... I woke up this morning with a HEADACHE. My eyes felt all puffy and swollen. My nose is all stuffy and my throat feels dry.

Gosh it sucked.

I even went to school. Just because we were taking the PSAT (preliminary SAT). I seriously did not care how I did on the freaking test. All I wanted to do was get it over with and go home. I was coughing and everything. Jeeze. Why did I even go to school?!

When I got home, first thing I did was eat a bowl of Cheerios, then sleep!! I think I slept for about 2hours.

When I woke up, I ate again. (I eat a lot when I'm sick) This time I had a bowl of soup. Yummie!

Yeap yeap.

I hope this will go away by Friday.

dissappointed

It comes to an end now.

I did not get the treasurer position.

=(

I am disappointed.

Oh well.

It is quite unfair.

The student votes did not count. The teachers choose either Juniors and Seniors.

I had a disadvantage because I was new and just a Sophomore. Plus, the teachers did not know me well.

They didn't even have interviews. I was not even given a chance to show what and who I am.

But what's done is done.

I can always run again next year.

Moving on...

Mad!!

Well today's the 6th of October! The results were SUPPOSED to come out today, but it didn't!!!

D=

I waited for second period. I listened for the announcements, but I did not hear anything about the Gear Up cabinet.

JEEZE!!

I talked to the coordinator. She said they already had the results.
If they already have the results, why not tell people already?!!!

--------------------

Anyway, I went to see my math teacher before school today to ask him about some math problems. Duh right? What else?

--------------------

I walked into class and I was like

"Mr. Luu..."

*Mr. Luu looks at me*

"... I have some questions."

*LAUGHS*

Me - O__o? *thinks* Maybe this teacher is crazy...

"You are the first student that asked me!"

"Errr? You mean from my class?"

"Definitely from your class and I think since school started..."

Me- *thinks* Wow...

"Okay, lets look at your problem"

*Takes out problems and shows Mr. Luu*

--------------------

Just when Mr. Luu started to explain the problem to me, Mr. Yom walked in. Then he started to interupt Luu. Eventually, Yom was the one who taught me how to solve the problem.

Here's a little background. Mr. Luu & Mr. Yom are Math teachers. Mr. Luu is the hardest math teacher there is in Lincoln. Mr. Yom is basically a "nicer" version of Luu. Not saying Yom isn't hard, he's just as hard, but definitely a nicer version of Luu.

They are both really young teachers. I'd say around their Mid-20s?
By the way, they are both really handsome too.
Luu is Chinese! (Luu's got the height!)
Yom is Korean! (Yom's got the looks!)

Jealous? =P

People, people. Don't get the wrong idea. LOL

--------------------

Anyway, back to the story.
Luu and Yom told me to do the question on the whiteboard. So I did.
I did it and Yom stood next to me for almost the whole time telling me what to do. It was kind of weird because I expected Luu to teach me, not Yom.

Along the way, I made a mistake. Yom was mean.

He was like
"LADY! What are you doing!!!??"

or like
"No, no kid! You got it wrong!"

Luu was mean too!
He kept hitting me with rolled up paper!!

-------------------

Gosh I felt old when Yom kept calling me LADY! I'm not THAT OLD!
I'm still 14 you know!!

--------------------

When I finally solved the problem, Yom went BYEBYE! I was glad, because I didn't get most of what Yom was saying. I prefered Luu. He was clearer, straight-forward, and to the point. Plus he wasn't was "jumpy" as Yom. Yom seemed like he was hyper.

--------------------

After I was done, I said to Mr. Luu

"Bye Mr. Luu! I'll be back to ask more questions!"

*Chuckles*

"I know you will!"
(it sounded evil) LOL

I laughed too. 'Cuz its true!

"Okay! Bye. Thank you!"

--------------------

That was my day. =D

He Likes My Name

Well, as most of you know, I am running for the treasurer position in Gear Up. The voting is over and the results will be announced on Monday, October 5th 2008 October 6th 2008, during 2nd period.

Honestly, I can't wait for the results. I really think that I might get the position. It'll be even better if my neighbor and friend Katie is my partner too! (There will be two treasurers.)

Anyway, I don't know how many people have voted for me, but I do hope enough people did. There were 3 people that I did not know very well who came up to me and told me they voted for me. The most recent one was the most hilarious.

The first person was Yin. I was in the hallway and I passed by her. We said a quick "Hello" and I was in a rush to go somewhere (I forgot where). Then she called me, so I turned around and she said "Waverly! I voted for you!" I was really happy when she told me that!

Thank You Yin! =D

The next person was Craig. I just met him this year. We have Mandarin 3 together for first period. We also take Economic together after school. Anyway, on my first day of Economics, I walked in and the first thing Craig said to me was, " I voted for you!" I was like even more happy and I was like "Thank you thank you thank you!!"

Thank You Craig! =P

The last person was Wayne Wong. Funny how I put down his last name too. He's a senior and my Da PengYou's (Anthony's) friend. Anthony every once in a while will talk about Wayne. So, I kind of know who he is. Plus, I 've seen him around. The only thing is that I never talked to him. Another thing about Wayne is that he's like the "genius" of Lincoln High. His whole family is. (That's what people say. I intend to erase that.)

Back to my story. Yesterday, I was walking to YUCA with a bunch of guys and Anagaby. One of things we talked about was our names. We were talking about how unique it was and where our parents got it from and blablabla... you fill in the blanks. All of a sudden, one of the guys (which was Wayne) turns to me and goes... "What's your name?"

Me- "Waverly"

Wayne- "YES!!"

Me & Anagaby- O_o"

Wayne- "I voted for you beacuse I saw your name! It's nice!!"

Me- "What?"

Wayne- "For Gear Up cabinet!!"

Me- "Oooh"

*thinks* It took me a while to understand.
20 seconds later... I get it...

Me- "So, wait, you voted for me because you liked my name?"

Wayne- "Yeah... Didn't I just say that?"

Me- *speechless?*

Me- "...Yeah!... Thanks you thank you!"

End of Conversation

I was really grateful. Honestly. I was really glad even strangers voted for me. LOL
I am somehow flattered as well. Haha. Somehow it was funny too.

Thanks Mom and Dad for giving a cool name!

I want a dress

Whenever my mom asks me what I want for my birthday, I know what I want. It's usually a toy, a techno "gear", a pet... oh so many things.

Well last year, I moved and the only thing I really wanted was to go back to Malaysia. I did not want anything. I had no birthday. That was the first time I did not celebrate it. It was just... blah. Another day.

No one remembered. No one but my mom. Two words and that was it. Nothing was going to make me happy.

What do you want?! A camera? a new iPod? anything?

*shakes head*

Well this year, I still want to go back to Malaysia, but I guess I do have some stuff I want.

I'd like negative 15pounds, a dress and me to look pretty.

Yeah.

I thought about wanting a camera.

Then I thought again... nah~ what for?

So, yeah. I guess that's what I want.

Gear Up!

Hey all~ Wave here,

So as you know it, the intro of my blog says that I have 3 challenges this year. One of them is running for the treasurer position for Gear Up cabinet.

Well, tomorrow is voting. I really really hope I get majority votes. Although that will not officially determine who gets what position. The teachers/ counselors actually decide who become what. So, I am really hoping I get the treasurer position.

I also think it is quite unfair and the democracy taken away since the teacher/counselors are choosing the students. It makes me think what's the point of having the voting then? In the end the majority votes do not really contribute to who will be part of cabinet. I mean, the votes will be "considered" but ultimately the teachers/counselors will be the ones deciding.

It kind of reminded me of the electoral voting system. The citizens of America indirectly vote for their candidate. However in the end, the people they choose will vote for them. You see the clashing here?

What is Democracy? It means ruling of majority of the people.
What is Oligarchy? It means ruling of few.

How can you put both together? It will not work out. It is basically putting opposites together. How is that suppose to work?

Apparently, this is somehow fit into the voting system of America and my case. It is kind of weird.

I'm not criticizing or anything, but I find it a little weird.

Anyway, wish me luck!
I hope I get the position I want.

Jay... *shakes head* Jay... *sigh*

So, I have this friend. Her name is Jay. (not real name)

When I first met Jay, she was okay. She was not like mean or anything. She was really friendly and outgoing. But, lately, she's been kind of annoying.

See, Jay and I live pretty close by and my parents give her a ride to school and back home. We don't mind ,you know, but what really got on my nerves was the fact that she is very inconsistent, annoying, very childish, and is (a lot of times) not on time.

During the summer, she wanted me to play badminton with her. The first time she asked I said, "OKAY!". I was looking forward because I had not played badminton with anyone in a very long time. So I woke up real early, at like 6:30ish. So, I played with her, it was okay. I didn't really have fun, but I think she did.

So, she asked me if I wanted to play again tomorrow. I said, "No, I want to sleep.".

GUESS WHAT?!

She came back real early in the morning again. My mom had to wake me up. When my mom woke me up, it actually gave me a shock. I actually panicked for a second there. After I saw it was my mom I was like, "... huh? ... What??" and my mom told me Jay was here. I was like what?! (in my mind of course) I really did not want to go with her. So I told her I didn't want to go. She looked dissappointed, but hey, too bad. I told her no and she came. =.=" Just to get her to go away, I told her I'd go play with her the next day. Then she was all happy again. ~gosh~

So, next day I woke up early and waited and waited for her. I thought she wasn't coming. I told myself. If she did not come in 5 minutes, I was going back to sleep. Jeeze, I should've just gone back to sleep, because she came. She was late. =.=" Anyway, I played with her and went home. Yay! >.>

Okay. I mentioned earlier that my parents gave her rides to school and back. See almost every morning, we'd have to wait for her. She'd be like 10 minutes late. That somehow got on my nerves. What really got to me was after school.

A few days ago, (Thursday I think) she just walked to China Town on her own. She did not even tell me. So my other friend and I waited and waited for her. GOSH!!!! She could've AT LEAST called and told me she would not need a ride that day so that we did not have to wait for her.

Today, we waited and waited for her. My other friend has a class with her and told me that Jay would meet us at the front gate. But no sign of her. Absolutely nothing. She didn't show up, she didn't call me. =.=" I tried to call her, but her dad picked up. So, I waited. JUST IN CASE. After awhile, I got annoyed and we just left.

On the way home, she called me. She told me she got a ride from another friend - L. Jay was like, "I'll go to school with you and home with L." I was like, "Ook" and in my mind, "WHATEVER."

When I got home, I talked to L. She told me that Jay was getting on her nerves too. Jay was rude, impolite, and did not show respect to her parents. According to L, Jay talked to L's parents like they were her age. She also wanted them to drive her to China Town everyday. My parents thought she was annoying too!

Seriously.

Well. I feel like telling Jay off, but it's going to hurt her feelings. She's is very friendly, kind, outgoing, independant, childish, impolite, too talkative (worse than me), big mouth and unpunctual.

What to do what to do?

Back to School

As most of you know it, I am back in school. =D
It was really really crazy.

Day 0

On the day before school started, I went to school to find out my classes and hopefully change my classes in advance. Unfortunately, I didn't really get what I want.

Most of my schoolmates know I want AP U.S. History, but the school wouldn't let me take it because I was only a sophomore. I even talked to my previous history teacher to help me out. He tried to but I guess the school really didn't want people who weren't Juniors to take it.

SUCKS

Day 1

Yesterday was a really hectic day. Really. My counselor didn't really help me and she made me run all over the school. See I had a problem with my schedule.

This was what was given to me:

------------------------------
Period 1 - Mandarin 3
Period 2 - H. Biology
Period 3 - H. English
Period 4 - PE
Period 5 - H. PreCalculus
Period 6 - H. World History
-------------------------------

My period 1 was okay. We didn't do much. My mandarin teacher - Ms. Chai, just talked a lot and made us talk about our summer.

I THOUGHT period 2 was going to be OKAY, but I was wrong. =(
My Bio teacher - Ms. Kwan, persuaded me to join her AP Bio class. It is two period - 3rd and 4th. So that means, I have to change my schedule.

2nd period onwards was so confusing!!!

Ms Kwan wrote me a note to bring to my counselor saying that I wanted to change my classes. We thought that by doing some rearrangements, I could get my classes easy peasy since today was only the first day.

I went to my counselor and I waited outside her office for like at least 30mins!!!! Honestly, she is one of the worst counselors a student could get. She didn't help one bit. She kicked me out of her office to solve the problem on my own. So I had to go ask teachers for help or see if they had a space for me.

Man I was so wrong. All the teachers that I wanted we not available. Their classes were full to the MAX, some were over the max. This one teacher told me she had only 36 seats and 46 students. She had no space. LITERALLY.

I went back to Ms. Kwan. I was like, "Ms. Kwan, *out of breath* I have a problem."
We talked about it and off I went again.

So I walked around and around and around asking and asking English teachers if they had a space. I finally decided to go to the teacher that was assigned to me and ask her for help. She was such a nice lady and told me to get a print out of all the English classes.

So, I went to the computer room and I waited and waited and waited. I also bumped into my previous History teacher. I told him my problem and what I was planning to do and he was like,

"All right, sounds like a good idea. Let me know how you are. Drop by my class."

So, like i said, I waited and waited and FINALLY. I got this brilliant idea. Why don't I go to my previous English teacher. She could help me. I thought. Unfortunately ( again), when I got there she couldn't help me. She told me to look for the assistant principle. He didn't really help either. So,I went back to the computer room and finally got a print out!

*FINALLY*

I went back to that nice teacher's class, panting, and she found me a teacher - Mr. Leys. I know who he is. I don't think he's a great teacher. I know he's the Debate Team teacher, but the Debate Team is pretty dormant.

ANYWAY, after finally figuring out my class, I went back to my counsellor and she made me wait like for ONE WHOLE PERIOD. She was running in and out of her office. People were going in and out. Teachers and Admins were too. Gosh her room was always jam packed. So, finally after people stopped coming in for like 5 mins, she did my schedule.

WOOHOO!!!

My current classes are now
------------------------------
Period 1 - Mandarin 3
Period 2 - H. English
Period 3 - AP. Biology
Period 4 - AP. Biology
Period 5 - H. PreCalculus
Period 6 - H. World History
-------------------------------

Day 2

Today was definitely much much better. I really enjoyed myself. Except for the fact I already started getting homework.

Oh I also gave my teachers nicknames.

Period 1 - Ms. Chai - Chai chai chai.
Period 2 - Mr. Leys - Dormant Debate Team Teacher (DDTT)
Period 3 - Ms. Kwan - haven't thought of one yet.
Period 4 - Ms. Kwan - again
Period 5 - Mr. Luu - GPA KILLER
Period 6 - Mr Zapata - Senior

Anyways, I know that whole post didn't make much sense but I have to go sleep.

NITE NITE!

Twister

So, yesterday was Friday. Friday means I go to FongYi's house.

Usually its the normal fellowship, then dinner, then free-time. But Aileen brought her twister game. She told me she never plays with it, so she was gonna leave it at FongYi's place.

Alright. XD

So we all know the game of Twister? There are 4 colors in one line. Red, Blue, Yellow & Green.
There is a little arrow that Jeramy (usually) spun that gave us directions which hand/leg we put on which color.

Okay Twister (as we all know it) starts out easy, but as the game progresses, it gets harder and harder. At one point I was basically doing a bridge. Another time, I was like stretching out and going under my friends. That was really weird. The guys called some of our poses "Spider Woman" or like "Cat Woman". Seriously, it really did look like that. One of my hardest "poses" was when all my limbs were in one color. I was so "aligned" and totally "straight". haha. That one was the hardest to balance.

It was uncomfortable when someone's butt was in my face though. Honestly, one time, someone tried to move and their butt almost hit my face. o.o"

Oh and Jeramy was mean. He tried to poke us and make us fall down! I'm telling on you Jeramy!!!

lol XD

So after about 2 hours? We finally stopped playing for good and started singing K. Haha
We used the computer, youtube and lyrics.

It was funny. Kinda like a carol team singing. hahaha

And then... when Joe was driving Aileen and Me home. He tortured us by making us listen to Irish Drunks singing.

Joe. Why do you have those song?!!!

LOL

08.08.08

Wow, wow, wow, WOW. Friday 08.08.08 was a FANTASTIC DAY!!
It was not only the START OF THE OLYMPICS! but an awesome outing for me! XD

It started off with me going to school. Okay school is not very exciting, but the rest of the day totally made up for it! School was same old same old. Nothing new. The day got better once we got OUT of school and it just got better and better (for me at least).

So, my friends and I have been planning to go to the mall for quite some time now. Yesterday we FINALLY went to the mall together.

Here's the gang - (left to right) Me, Phan, Nikki, Lily, Dinh, Andy, Ivan.

Our main activity of this outing was to EAT.
Our choice of restaurant - Todai BUFFET.
Choice of food - SUSHI!

All of us met at the front gate of school. Dinh got there first, then me, Andy and Lily. While we were waiting for the rest, my dad arrived. So we all got into the car because it was SO HOT. I intro my dad to them and when I intro Andy my dad was like,
"My name's Andy too!"

"Really" - Andy

"Yeah!" - Dad

"Coooool!" - Andy

Everyone finally arrives and they had a hard time getting into the car. The car is a mini-van. Dinh and Andy sat at the very back and Lily sat in one of the seats in the middle. We had to squish 4 people at the very back and the 2 guys got to sit in the middle and I got the front seat (obviously)! XD

So Lily wants to sit at the back with the rest of the girls and poor Andy had to move to the middle. Nikki didn't make such a good move either. She came in and Andy almost squished me. Lily was trying to squeeze herself into the back. But they somehow managed to organize themselves. Once everyone was in their seats and comfy, my dad drove us to Glendale Mall.

Nikki and her camera!

Andy says "Hi!!"

Okay, besides the "happy carefree looking forward to getting a sushi buffet", I did not know where the restaurant was. So we had a little hard time finding it. The directory didn't really help. There were also 2 Todai restaurants. We were looking for the one on the ground floor.

We ended up going up and down, round and around.

But its okay, we eventually found it. (Nikki did technically) We went up to the 4th floor and I don't know why for some reason we ended up taking the STAIRS down and down to the ground floor =.=" Then up again and down AGAIN! Nikki and Ivan went their own way. So they found it. We had to run up and down. Finally we get fed up and Andy calls Ivan. We had to walk OUT of the mall, go through a parking lot and cross the street to get to TODAI.

We get there and everyone was like, "FINALLY!!!" and had a big excited smile on their face. When we walked in, there was this Japanese lady and she greeted us in Japanese. I think it was "Welcome".

Well once a bunch of HUNGRY teens are in there what do you expect?

WE EAT! ATTACK THE FISHIES!

Here we are at Todai Restaurant.

Phan and Nikki

Me!
Dinh - eating fried rice 'cuz she don't like sushi.
HATER!
just joking~ haha

This was the tempura squid that took me FOREVER to finish because it was SO chewy. I felt like a dog with a chew toy.

Lily, honestly, I don't know what she was doing.
I just happened to take a weird picture of her.
LOL

Oh and this was my favorite desert. It's White Chocolate.
It looked so pretty that I just HAD to take a picture of it. =D

Hehehe. We had a TASTY time. The food was great. We definitely enjoyed ourselves.

But when the check came. DX

It is 15bucks each person, but I didn't know we had to pay for our drinks =.=". We also had to leave tips and of course, TAX.

It all added up t o $$125$$

Ivan, Lily and I had to put in more money the rest were either CHEAP ASIANS *EH HEM* or only had 15bucks.

We spent about one and a half hour there and then we went window shopping. =D Andy wanted to go to the Lego store so that's where we headed. On the way, we bumped into Cathy and her gang. She was like the only Asian in that group. The rest were Mexicans. Whoa, I wouldn't survive in there. lol

Now, back to Lego -

(clockwise) Andy, Lily, Phan & Nikki

(clockwise again) Me, Phan, Nikki & Andy

Lily!! See me in the background looking funny? haha
Yes everybody! We are 5 years old!!! XD

haha It was so funny. Well, Ivan was more mature. Instead of joining us, he sat on the steps outside.

Ivan - aka Loner. nahhhh~

Lily (My bestest friend in America) and Me!!
Yeap yeap.

Later, we walked on downstairs and we kind of split up. Lily and I went to Target. We needed to use the rest room. I also got this cute bag!! I need one anyway. My school bag is falling apart. The zippers don't work and there's a couple of holes.

NEW BAG!!

On the way to Target some black dude started following us. At first I thought he was just another shopper, instead he was one of those more "aggressive" salesman.

"Hey hey you! What's your name?" - black dude

"huh?! O.o" - me

"Yeah, you what's yo name? You look pretty!" - black dude

"what?! the heck??!!!" - me (thinking)

"Whaaaaa?" - Lily

O.O

"C'mon what'z yo name? You look pretty!!" - black dude

The two of us walked away as fast as we could. That was creepy. o.o"

Anyway, once we got to Target, we tried to look for the restroom. But Lily and I couldn't find it. So we started browsing the bags that was right next to the entrance. So I got that blue bag. Then Ivan came along and he found the restroom.

Yeepee! Relief!! XD

After that, we just hung around. Then Lily had one of her CRAVINGS. This time it was for (specifically) chocolate chip cookies. She dragged me all the way to McD to buy one of those cookies but ended up NOT buying it because she only had a 2odollar bill. The cookie was like only what - 50cents? Instead she bought a Cinnamon Roll for her brother. So sweet! Nice big sister.

We met up with the others again and then walked around somemore. Then Lily spotted a candy vending machine. It was HILARIOUS. It actually cost only a quarter for SOME skittles. Lily puts in the first quarter and nothing comes out. She puts in ANOTHER one and guess how many come out?
ONE. Just ONE. HAHAHAHAHAHA

Lily didn't even eat her 50cent worth of skittle. What a rip off.

After that it was time to go, my dad picked us up again. I had to go to FongYi's place to meet up with some friends and go to a college awards ceramony (she won a trophy). They had to go to YUCA. (This youth association) So my dad dropped me off at home so that I could get ready and dropped everyone else at the library.

After that he came back for me and drove me to FongYi's house. Over there we played a game and then everybody talked about their day and mine was what I just wrote up there. hehe

When we were going to Oxy College, I got to ride in Cheyrl's car. We were a little late when we got to the ceramony but it was alright. We waited and waited and waited for my friend (Karen)'s turn to recieve her award. She and another guy were the very last ones. They got the BIGGEST trophy. WOW! Congratz to her!

(Left to right) Crystal, Joey, Jessica, Karen, Me & Hannah

This is just a random picture Jessica & I took together.

After that, we took lots and lots of pictures together with Karen, 'cuz we miss her and had not seen her for about 2months! Later we went out for dinner to celebrate! This time I was in Ah Heng aka Ah Ba's car. His driving was actually scary. I'm glad I SURVIVED.

The restaurant we went to was chinese. DUH. They were all chinese and canto speaking anyway. So I was not surprised. One of my friends - Jessica really likes using the restroom. Really when we got there, she used the restroom. When the others arrived she went again. After dinner one more time. Later we went out for dessert and she went like twice there. I'm like whoa girl.

Dinner was alright nothing special really. Later we drove somewhere to have dessert. This time I sat in FongYi's car. I got this mango drink. It had sago and little mangoes in it! SO TASTY! ^^ Yeap yeap.

After that it was time to go home. This time, Ah Joe (Crystal's older brother) drove us there. We stopped by to pick up some stuff and he sent me home.

When I got home the first thing I did was watch the
Olympics Opening Ceramony!

Too bad I could not see the whole thing. I got to see the part of the lighting of the torch. IT WAS AMAZING!!!! XD

I felt so proud to be Chinese! Now I feel even prouder!

Anyways after that, I had to go to sleep. The weird thing was that I didn't even feel tired. I was like "I'm up for more!!"

LOL

But hey it was wayyyy past 12. So I went to sleep. It was a great day. I fell asleep with a smile on my face. I'm sure.

ZzzzzZZzzz

Special Thanks to my dad for driving us to the mall and back!!
THANK YOU DADDY!
