BBQ @ Sammy's

I finally get to use the computer! FINALLY! So I was quite unfortunate the past few days. First, my computer monitor broke. My dad tried to fix it but I guess this time it was like gone for good. My dad had fixed it like 5 times before... this time it is definitely a goner. LOL Then, my brother got himself into trouble and he got punished by not being able to use the computer which for some reason spilled over and affected my sis and I as well. So the 3 of us weren't able to use the computer for like 2 days. >.>"

Anyway, a bunch of us from FongYi's small group went to Sammy's new apartment for a BBQ. He moved to Anahiem (and apparently lives like 10mins drive away from Knotts!!!), so far away from LA. Gosh.

So, Joe picked me up around 1:40pm and Crystal, Jessica and Jeannette were already in the car. I was the LAST one to be picked up. Then, Joe drove to FCBC and dropped off Crystal and Jeannette. They "transfered" to Carson's car. LOL After that we were off to Sammy's place for BBQ~!!! yay!!!

It was a little more than a 40mins drive, but we were the first ones to arrive! YAY! We're so punctual! ^_^ Sammy didn't start cooking yet. Mannnn, I thought there was gona be food when I arrived! LOL Then I could just like chow down and attack the food!!!! JK~ Carson's car was the next to arrive and lastly Myran's. =D

The BBQ area was next to a decent size pool. I have to say it was really nice. There was a BIG tall shady tree above is. The grass next to us was really green and it looked so healthy. I swear, if I lived there, I would go out there and take naps! hahaha

When everybody arrived we started to cook! Sammy kept saying we were going to be "Carnivores" that day! We were literally carnivornes! There was like A LOT of meat. Chicken, Prawns, Beef, Chicken kidneys, Squid... what else? LOL Well basically... there was like A LOT of meat. LOL It was really good. Thanks Sammy, Ah Heng and Steven for preparing all the food the day before and cooking it for us. It was so yummy. ^_^

Oh yeah, it was a really hot day too. Probably 99degrees or something. Joe was so funny. He his car has this thermometer and when he saw it was like 99 degrees, he was like, "OH my gosh! So cool!" and he was NOT being sarcastic! I was like WHAT?! How is it possible that inland is cooler than downtown?! LOL

And Sammy's nephew is sooooo cuteeee! Chubby little babbyy Johnathan!!! Babies are so cuteeeee. =D He has so much hair and he has BIIGGGG cute eyes~ =D

Some people swam. Sammy, Jessica and Jerry only. Sammy was so mean. He kept doing cannon balls and getting us people sitting by the pool wet! Baaddd baddd Sammy!

Well I don't want to write anymore. Getting lazy and I'm getting sleepy. Haha. Basically we had an awesome time and I was stuffed when I got home! LOL Will blog more tmr if I can. byebyeeee =D

Eyebrow Threading

Okay, so today I went to the Burbank mall because my mom wanted to go to Old Navy to exchange some clothes. I got this awesome sweater and a pair of canvas shoe. I need one, since the bottom of my shoes are coming off.

ANYWAY, we were walking to the parking lot when I saw this Indian Eyebrow Threading. It was really cool basically a thread is used to like "wax" and "shave" your eyebrows. I saw it on TV once and I thought it was really cool how just a string could do that! LOL

It took the lady about 10mins to shape and clean my brows. I thought it was really cool. When she was doing it. It felt like my brows were being pinched and tickled at the same time. LOL It is pretty cool.

College Road Trip

Okay, so from Tues - Thurs, I was on a "college road trip". Basically, the school took us on a trip to see some colleges. We went to

(Day 1) UC Santa Barbara, San Luis Obpiso Cal Poly
(Day 2) Cal State Monteray Bay, UC Santa Cruz, San Jose State University, Stanford
(Day3) San Fransico State University, Cal State University of Bakersfield.

Okay, there's a lot to write about, but I am very lazy.... SO, I shall briefly describe each day.

Day 1-

I set my alarm clock the day before to ring at 5:20am, but guess what?! It didn't ring!!!! So I woke up at 6am. I didn't get to shower, eat breakfast or comb my hair. I was like WTF! I'm late! I panicked because we had to meet at school by 6:15am which is when the bus leaves.

The drive to UCSB was about 1 1/2 hours. Out of all the campuses that I had visited, I like Santa Barbara's campus the best. What made it really cool was that there were bicycles all over the place! Cuz it was the number 1 means of transportation in UCSB and the tour guide told us that there's 16,000 registered bicycles on campus out of a student body of 21,000.

After the tour, we at at the campus food court. There was like Panda Express, Wendy's and all these franchise fast food stores. LOL I ate Wendy's. Yup

Next was Cal Poly. I liked this campus too. It was really pretty and big. (Random fact: My 9th grade english teacher was a professor at this college.) The really cool thing about Cal Poly was that agriculture students were given their own plot of land to work on. Architech students were given their down studio and I thought that was so awesome. What was even more interesting was that the produce grown on the Cal Poly land was also packaged and sold in the Campus Market. LOL How cool!

After that, we drove to this pizza place called "Cheezers" and we got a pretty big single pizza and a plate of salad and a pretty big cup of soda. LOL It was sooo yummy. I was sooo full. I didn't even finish the whole thing. LOL What I found really fasicnating about that restaurant were the bullet holes in the windows. You could see the bullet marks but the glass was so thick it did not shatter. So there's just a bunch of holes in the window. LOL Kinda crazy, but makes me feel safe to know that if someone from the outside tried to shoot I'd be safe. xD (I'm so lame)

Okay, so we're done eating.. yada yada yada.. we drive to our hotel and we check in. It was a nice room. Pretty big. I shared it with Yuning and 2 other girls from Eagle Rock. Yuning and I slept on the sofa bed and they hogged the good bed. LOL

We slept around 1 am because one of my roommates were on the phone with some dude she liked and she talked on the phone REALLY LOUD. At one point we were all so loud that the security guard from the lobby came up to our room and told us that we were too loud and that he could hear us from the lobby. I was like WOW!!!!!!!!!! We're THAT LOUD?!!!

Will post about Day 2 a bit later. I need to do chores now.. xD
