A random day~

Today was wet and cold~~It rained!!
And interesting..

There was a Chinese New Year Assembly.
I know its kinda late.
haha
I got to go 2nd and 3rd period!
It was pretty awesome!
and I have to say...
3rd period's was the BEST!

Reason #1 - Alan sat next to me!!! =D

Reason#2 - The performance was more dramatic!
- Anthony got "slapped".
- There was brick breaking with heads!
- We were cheering for the kungfu people who couldn't break the bricks.
- And when they finally broke it... we cheered like crazy!!!

Reason #3 - ...an unexpected view... not that it was great... it was... awkward... oh Alan!! We weren't the only ones that saw it... LOL

Reason #4 - FRONT ROW seats!

What other reasons? hmmm...

=D Well it was a good performance.

AcaDeca - Super Quiz 02.08.09

We had an awesome time at UCLA on Saturday!
When I say "we" I mean the "B team" people.
B team was suppose to compete.
Unfortunately, it got canceled for some reason.
=(

But it was all right.
I got to explore UCLA (kinda),
sit around, chat and play.

I've got to say.
This is my first time on campus
and it is really pretty.

Anyway, back to the story.
I got to school around 7ish.
By 7:30ish,
we left school and started driving to UCLA.
Everyone was studying.

When we got to UCLA,
it was drizzling!
haha. Pretty fun~

We went to some buiding
and I when I walked in there,
I was like...
WOW.

Here we are, a bunch of nerds.
On top of that,
we're DECATHLON NERDS!!

We found good seats on the Lower Ground
and relaxed there.
I had to take care of the stuff.
So I sat there reading a book.
It was a book Mr. Wong raffled off last year.
"All Quiet on the Western Front"

Then Anagaby showed up.
She almost missed the rides.
Luckily, Mr. Zapata spotted her.
LOL

The team was back from registration.
Then they went to get food.
Then to take tests!
Me all alone again.

Then I started studying for
AP Biology.
After I don't know an hour?
I stopped and join in their group conversation behind me.

Kwan, Zapata, Crabtree, some UCLA students (aka Lincoln Alumni) were there talking BLABLABLA . =D

It was fun.
We just talked and talked and talked.
Around I don't know... noon?
We went to Tracy's dorm.

We had to walk up a hill,
and another hill,
then steps,
the take a lift,
go through a courtyard,
then go into a building (no duh)
and the room was the first one on the right.

The door was nicely decorated.
It said, "Please write your pick up line here!"
HAha.
Chris and Tim were so silly and started to write a bunch of stuff!
XD

There was nothing much to do.
We played with the keyboard and scrabble.
(Man we're serious nerds.... LOL)
Chris and Tim kept owning us.

Yeah we lost to them by alot >.>

Anyway, Kwan gave is a mission.
We had to go to the Wooden center at 2:30
and save 30 seats.

So we headed back to the area where we hung out in the morning
to get our stuff and for Chirs to dress up
in his Tiger Mascot!!!

GO TIGERS!

We had sometime,
so I went to play DDR.
WAAHHh It was fun.
But I sucked at it.
Now I want a DDR mat!!!
Halfway through the game,
Chris interrupted me.
So there was a tiger and me.
playing DDR...

aiiyyy!!!

On the way out,
they wanted Jamba Juice.
So we lined up and got some.
Now that reminds me.
I have to pay Tim back.
XD

The "people" wouldn't let us go into the Wooden Center.
They said they'd let people in at 3.
So, while we were waiting,

Chris ran around taking pictures with random people.

I mean it.
RANDOM people.
It was funny.
=D

When we finally got in,
We went crazy and saved like 4 rows of seats!
We had our stuff everywhere
and the "tiger" was scaring people off...
haha

People start to fill up the place.
It was crowded!
XD

When the Super Quiz started,
I got all hyped up.
I got even more hyped up when
I heard the questions!!!

I was like OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I KNOW IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was Science- Biology - Evolution!
It was so easy!
When our team mates didn't get it,
I was like WHAT?!!!
LOL

I wasn't the only one that was crazy.
Every time after a question was read,
the crowd went crazy and started cheering and screaming.
But was all quiet when the questions were being read out loud.

Anyway, Varsity did really well.
Scholastic was doing all right.
But Honors got killed.

All together we had 39 points.
We wasn't bad.
We beat Bravo!!
Chatsworth,
Wilson,
North Hollywood,
a whole bunch of other schools!!

The final results will be announced on Thursday.

So the rain today

was pretty cold.

But I enjoyed it.

I borrowed an umbrella from David

and I walked to the library.

It was fun.

I didn't splash in puddles though.

I wish I did.

But I'd be cold.

By the time I got to the library,

1/4 of my jeans were soaked.

I was going to get a book,

find a seat and fall asleep.

But then I bumped into Vanessa,

so we went to Jack in the Box.

To MAKAN!

yeap. Eat.

We were hungry.

Man, Vanessa can really eat.

LOL

Alan joined us later.

We sat there for about

2 hours.

Chatting.

Laughing our asses off.

Being retarded and loud.

Alan was quiet.

I guess he was bored.

Sorry Alan.

I shud've gave him a hug.

YUCA was pretty good.

It started a little later than usual.

There were less people too.

It's the rain's fault.

But I don't mind.

I had a place to sit at least.

The performance was great.

Everyone was enjoying it

=)

But I had to go home early.

Oh well.

I had a nice day.

Right now, I need to scream.

It's only Wednesday...
and I feel like the week has been going on forever.

I've been so frustrated.
My classes at school,
4 out of 6 of them suck.
The classes I enjoy are just going so slow.

My English class is the worst!
Okay, in an English class,
you learn Vocab, how to write critical thinking, so on...
You know what I learn?
Gangs!
WOW!
no... not wow... -.-
Okay, in the begginning,
I thought the class would be ALL RIGHT.

Turns out the teacher is obssessed with gangs.
We write about gangs,
read about gangs,
watch movies about gangs,
have speakers that talk about gangs,
my final is about GANGS!
WHAT THE HELL!

If I wanted to learn about gangs,
I could just JOIN ONE!
And I'd even get a bonus...
learn how to use a gun.
BANG! BANG!

What sucks even more is that
for the Final,
I'm doing a job of 4 people.
No one in my group.
THE WHOLE CLASS as a matter of fact,
was slacking. =.=

AND YOU KNOW WHAT?!
My teacher basically
DOES NOT CARE.
Honestly,
I can't wait to get OUT of that class.

Gangster my ass.
I'm not going to be involved in gangs.
You know why?
Cuz I'm Asian.
My Parents are strict.
I care about my grades.
Gangs are stupid.
I have nothing to do with them.

Sure you could be thinking,
"She's ignorant."
No, I'm not.
I get the point that there are gangs in the neighborhood.
BUT, English class is not ALL about gangs.

Another thing is that,
we study the gangs in our area only.
What happened to the rest of the world?!
You know that Chinese saying,
"Frog in the Well"?
It basically means,
The frog in the well can only see so little of the world.
It's world is tiny and limited.
Thanks to the fact its's in the well.

Chinese New Year Festival!

So, on Saturday and Sunday (1/31 & 2/1),

there was a Chinese New Year Festival in China Town!

Big Surprise!

DAY 1

Anyway,

I signed up to do Community Service.

I did the Saturday 2nd shift.

It was from 1pm - 6pm.

I had an awesome time!

Trinh assigned me to face painting.

All the kids that came to me were really cute!

It was mostly little girls.

Some boys

and some parents.

And a few young couples.

Anyway, it's the year of the Ox,

but I notice the dragon and rabbit are very popular.

haha.

I have to say...

I did not do a good job painting animals.

Except for bunnies. =P

Everytime someone came around asking for a Dragon,

all of us would point at

Cathleen.

She's a pro.

But everytime someone came around asking for Chinese Characters,

everyone would point at me.

hahaha.

There was this one kid who was really funny.

He wanted me to paint a knight.

I was wondering.

HOW?

Finally, I figured I'd draw him a sword and shield.

That works right?

He liked it.

But you know what?

It was so out of the topic.

hahaha

But he was such a cute little boy!

I wanted to hug him!!!
XD

Around 3ish,

a bunch of us kinda slacked off

because the parade had started

and the crowd was paying attention to it.

So we did not have a lot of custormers.

=P

SOOOOO!!!!

We went to this Verizon booth

and took free pictures!

It was awesomee!!!

After we got our pictures taken,

It was back to work.

Untill 5'0 clock.

Then Lily and I

went to watch YUCA's

Traditional and Modern Dance.

It was really cool.

I was pretty impressed!

I think out of EVERYONE,

Justin's solo performance was the BEST.

So cool how the fan moved!

Oh,

I forgot to mention.

While I was waiting for someone

to come for face painting,

a bunch of stupid fobby guys

start playing around with the

spraying party string.

One of them sprayed it

RIGHT INTO MY MOUTH.

ewgh.

It tasted nasty.

After the show,

my mom came and

wanted me to go home a little earlier.

So I went to see Dennis,

return my name tag

and TADA!!!!

Home!

DAY 2

I had so much fun the day before,

that I wanted to go back the next day.

Which is today (Sunday)

I went to Church in the morning,

and got home around 1ish.

Then I texted Alan

who was supposed to go

YESTERDAY! (Satuday)

Unfotunately,

He had to go to his cousin's birthday.

Lol.

Oh well.

At least he got to watch the performance.

I was trying to get a hold of Vanessa too.

Little did I know she signed up for

the Sunday 1st shift!!!

Alan bumped into her on her way home.

=.="

MAN.

I wanted to smack her!!

So, it was just me and Alan!

It was still lots of fun.

We got to the festival and

there was not as many people as yesterday.

DUH

lol.

We went to the YUCA booth first.

Had a chat here and there with a couple of friends

then we went to take pictures

at the Verizon booth!

I noticed that

Alan is very widely loved.

hahaha

And thanks to his height,

everyone who loves him

spots him just like

THAT.

hahaha

Ooooo then we bumped into

Phan and Diana

we told them to take pictures with us!

And we all look awesomely funny!

Next,

we walked around some more.

Alan wanted Jamba Juice

So I bought him one,

cuz he forgot his money!

hahaha

But he bought chicken rice for us both later.

=P

It was yummie.

The performace on Sunday was

slightly earlier.

Around 3ish.

So we just sat there and waited.

I saw Anthony

and I told him to come over.

He sat with us throughout the whole show.

During the modern dance show,

he was soooo mean.

There was a bunch of guys that weren't really good at the dance,

So he shouted,

"GO HOME!"

=.=" seriously.

That is just mean.

After the show,

I bumped into Jenna!!

I told her I'd go to her store and meet up with her.

Then we walked away.

Checked out more stuff.

Yeap.

After that,

the people who performed were out!

I took pictures with a bunch of them

and then headed to Alpine.

It was a really nice walk.

The weather these past 3 days

were really nice.

It was breezy and the sun was warm.

So perfect.

hahaha

Anyway, we got to Alpine

and headed to China Town Plaze

where Jenna's store is.

I got there a little bit before Jenna.

Her mom and brother were at the store.

They told me she'd be back soon,

so we decided to just walk around.

Just when Alan and I were walking out,

she showed up.

haha.

But her family needed to stay a little longer

to finish up work.

So, Alan and I just wandered around.

We walked into the China Town "Pasar Malam"

It really did look like the Pasar in Malaysia.

All the stuff hung up.

Everything cheap

from China,

fake.

yeap yeap.

LOL

Then my mom came to pick us all up.

Like all.

Alan, Jenna, her mom and me up.

Except her brother.

haha.

He told us to leave without him

TOO BAD.

He had to walk home.

I don't think he minds though.

=P

This is pretty much the end of the day

and week

It was really cool.

Great day.
