BBQ @ Sammy's

I finally get to use the computer! FINALLY! So I was quite unfortunate the past few days. First, my computer monitor broke. My dad tried to fix it but I guess this time it was like gone for good. My dad had fixed it like 5 times before... this time it is definitely a goner. LOL Then, my brother got himself into trouble and he got punished by not being able to use the computer which for some reason spilled over and affected my sis and I as well. So the 3 of us weren't able to use the computer for like 2 days. >.>"

Anyway, a bunch of us from FongYi's small group went to Sammy's new apartment for a BBQ. He moved to Anahiem (and apparently lives like 10mins drive away from Knotts!!!), so far away from LA. Gosh.

So, Joe picked me up around 1:40pm and Crystal, Jessica and Jeannette were already in the car. I was the LAST one to be picked up. Then, Joe drove to FCBC and dropped off Crystal and Jeannette. They "transfered" to Carson's car. LOL After that we were off to Sammy's place for BBQ~!!! yay!!!

It was a little more than a 40mins drive, but we were the first ones to arrive! YAY! We're so punctual! ^_^ Sammy didn't start cooking yet. Mannnn, I thought there was gona be food when I arrived! LOL Then I could just like chow down and attack the food!!!! JK~ Carson's car was the next to arrive and lastly Myran's. =D

The BBQ area was next to a decent size pool. I have to say it was really nice. There was a BIG tall shady tree above is. The grass next to us was really green and it looked so healthy. I swear, if I lived there, I would go out there and take naps! hahaha

When everybody arrived we started to cook! Sammy kept saying we were going to be "Carnivores" that day! We were literally carnivornes! There was like A LOT of meat. Chicken, Prawns, Beef, Chicken kidneys, Squid... what else? LOL Well basically... there was like A LOT of meat. LOL It was really good. Thanks Sammy, Ah Heng and Steven for preparing all the food the day before and cooking it for us. It was so yummy. ^_^

Oh yeah, it was a really hot day too. Probably 99degrees or something. Joe was so funny. He his car has this thermometer and when he saw it was like 99 degrees, he was like, "OH my gosh! So cool!" and he was NOT being sarcastic! I was like WHAT?! How is it possible that inland is cooler than downtown?! LOL

And Sammy's nephew is sooooo cuteeee! Chubby little babbyy Johnathan!!! Babies are so cuteeeee. =D He has so much hair and he has BIIGGGG cute eyes~ =D

Some people swam. Sammy, Jessica and Jerry only. Sammy was so mean. He kept doing cannon balls and getting us people sitting by the pool wet! Baaddd baddd Sammy!

Well I don't want to write anymore. Getting lazy and I'm getting sleepy. Haha. Basically we had an awesome time and I was stuffed when I got home! LOL Will blog more tmr if I can. byebyeeee =D

Eyebrow Threading

Okay, so today I went to the Burbank mall because my mom wanted to go to Old Navy to exchange some clothes. I got this awesome sweater and a pair of canvas shoe. I need one, since the bottom of my shoes are coming off.

ANYWAY, we were walking to the parking lot when I saw this Indian Eyebrow Threading. It was really cool basically a thread is used to like "wax" and "shave" your eyebrows. I saw it on TV once and I thought it was really cool how just a string could do that! LOL

It took the lady about 10mins to shape and clean my brows. I thought it was really cool. When she was doing it. It felt like my brows were being pinched and tickled at the same time. LOL It is pretty cool.

College Road Trip

Okay, so from Tues - Thurs, I was on a "college road trip". Basically, the school took us on a trip to see some colleges. We went to

(Day 1) UC Santa Barbara, San Luis Obpiso Cal Poly
(Day 2) Cal State Monteray Bay, UC Santa Cruz, San Jose State University, Stanford
(Day3) San Fransico State University, Cal State University of Bakersfield.

Okay, there's a lot to write about, but I am very lazy.... SO, I shall briefly describe each day.

Day 1-

I set my alarm clock the day before to ring at 5:20am, but guess what?! It didn't ring!!!! So I woke up at 6am. I didn't get to shower, eat breakfast or comb my hair. I was like WTF! I'm late! I panicked because we had to meet at school by 6:15am which is when the bus leaves.

The drive to UCSB was about 1 1/2 hours. Out of all the campuses that I had visited, I like Santa Barbara's campus the best. What made it really cool was that there were bicycles all over the place! Cuz it was the number 1 means of transportation in UCSB and the tour guide told us that there's 16,000 registered bicycles on campus out of a student body of 21,000.

After the tour, we at at the campus food court. There was like Panda Express, Wendy's and all these franchise fast food stores. LOL I ate Wendy's. Yup

Next was Cal Poly. I liked this campus too. It was really pretty and big. (Random fact: My 9th grade english teacher was a professor at this college.) The really cool thing about Cal Poly was that agriculture students were given their own plot of land to work on. Architech students were given their down studio and I thought that was so awesome. What was even more interesting was that the produce grown on the Cal Poly land was also packaged and sold in the Campus Market. LOL How cool!

After that, we drove to this pizza place called "Cheezers" and we got a pretty big single pizza and a plate of salad and a pretty big cup of soda. LOL It was sooo yummy. I was sooo full. I didn't even finish the whole thing. LOL What I found really fasicnating about that restaurant were the bullet holes in the windows. You could see the bullet marks but the glass was so thick it did not shatter. So there's just a bunch of holes in the window. LOL Kinda crazy, but makes me feel safe to know that if someone from the outside tried to shoot I'd be safe. xD (I'm so lame)

Okay, so we're done eating.. yada yada yada.. we drive to our hotel and we check in. It was a nice room. Pretty big. I shared it with Yuning and 2 other girls from Eagle Rock. Yuning and I slept on the sofa bed and they hogged the good bed. LOL

We slept around 1 am because one of my roommates were on the phone with some dude she liked and she talked on the phone REALLY LOUD. At one point we were all so loud that the security guard from the lobby came up to our room and told us that we were too loud and that he could hear us from the lobby. I was like WOW!!!!!!!!!! We're THAT LOUD?!!!

Will post about Day 2 a bit later. I need to do chores now.. xD

Delivery~~~

Okay, I'm bored... nothing to do today. I had plans to go out and have lunch with friends at Pho Broadway, but I had to cancel it since so many people including myself could not make it. =(

Anyway, just now, I walked down to Alan's house to deliver his can of Arizona Green Tea that has been sitting in my fridge since like.. Tuesday? O.o... I forgot, but basically I've had it for a while.

I walked down and when I got to his house... nobody answered. Alan was probably out and I think his mom was in the shower. 'Cuz I heard water but nobody answered the door. I kept saying "Hello? Anyone home?" and "Alan!" and more "HELLO?" LOL but yeah no one answered. So I waited a while and I noticed a cat staring at me. It was the house next door and there was this cat on the second floor looking down at me from the window. I was like... Uhh... kinda creepy... o.o" LOL

after a while I was like okay.... nevermind... I'll just leave the green tea here (on the steps) ... and hope Alan gets it when he gets home...

Lalala~ so that was my short little trip out of the house today. LOL I'm so lame....

Last Day... Yay

Yayyyy... today's the last day of summer school. =D

Then... it'll be 3 weeks before we go back to school hoorah! LOL

So, 2 hours in "keyboarding class" aka life skills and then 2 hours NOT in health class... I'll be in Zapata's classroom. After that, 3 hours in Crabtree's class studying for Acadeca. Rawr long time. Anyway, after that I hope I can go to fongyi's house. I asked my mom she's like "...maybe. You have to ask your dad~" I think I will call Joe and seeeeeee iff hheee cannn piicckk meee upp. Since my mom has to drive my bro and sis to swimming practice. yup

It is so quiet, more than half of the class isn't here. There's probably only 10 out of 40 over people here. Less than a quarter. LOL People are so lazy. Unlike Lydia and me.... *vain* LOL jkjk

Right now, people are like trying to set up the projector and figure out how to work it so that we can watch some movie.

LOL Kevin thought I was typing, doing mircotype. HAHAHAHA. Mircotype is this keyboarding practice program that I have been doing for the past 6 weeks. Kevin was like, "Damn Waverly! I thought you were doing microtype! I was gonna say you were dedicated!" LOLOLOL

Oh lookie, they got the movie to work but we can only hear the sound. hahaha.

Secondhand Smoke?

My mom picked me up from school today and she drove the "old new" Camry. It was basically my first time riding it and seeing what it looked like inside. If you're wondering why I didn't check out the car before, it was because my bro and dad were cleaning it and fixing it up.

The car was pretty good. Lol. The only bad thing about the car was the smell. I could smell cigarrette smoke. I guess whoever owned and sold the car to us smokes. The smell wasn't strong but it was bad enough. The front passenger's seat's airbag was "missing". You could tell it wasn't in there because where the airbag was "stored" was crack and slightly opened. The steering wheel too. It seriously looked like the front could pop out anytime. It makes me wonder if the person who drove the car before got into an accident. My dad said the engine was "very good" for a car it's age. So I was thinking, maybe it wasn't a big accident or a fender-bender or something...

Anyway, so that was "the ride" in "the car". LOL

GEAR UP Training

Okay, so Thursday and Friday were happy days for me. I didn't have to go to school and I got to eat at a buffet for free. Chheeyyyaaaaa!!! XD I went to Occidental College for GEAR UP mentor training and it was pretty cool. I thought it'd be boring and dry just like last year's, but it turned out to be pretty darn awesome! =D

There was a lot of lecturing and games. The lectures were pretty repetitive, but I enjoyed the games. What everyone (I am sure everyone) enjoyed and looked forward to the most was lunch. That was some good food and it was a buffet too! MUAHAHA. I chowed down on everything. (Kinda)


Day1 - I had some pasta, salad, ice-cream, fruits, soda (funny story about the soda...),cookies!!! and etc... i don't remember what else I had. It was a lot of food.


Right, and I said there was a funny/ weird story about the soda. Well, you seeeeee I'm not really a coke person and I always prefer Sprite. So I went to the soda machine and I got Sprite. Waverly's all happy with her Sprite and takes a sip. *SPITS EVERYTHING OUT!!!!!* Nah... just kidding. I didn't do that, but I spat the "soda" back into the cup. Turns out, it wasn't Sprite. It was just some carbonated water that tasted bitter and salty. O.o" Weird right? So I got coke. hehe =D


Day 2 - I ate this vegetarian lasanga. It was gooooooooooooooooood! More salad, some cupcakes, some fruits, this "push-pop" ice-cream, bread... mmmm... yeah.. LOL I liked the lasanga a lot. I went back for seconds and all. LOL. It was so awesome. I have to try making vegetarian lasanga one day.


I would've eaten more, but we only had 30minutes of lunch. The reason was because there were other groups that needed to eat as well. So we had to chow down real fast and get out. =(

One of the games I enjoyed the most was called the Birthday Line-Up. Basically, everyone has a birthday. Duh right? So there's about 40 people and we have to line up in order according to our birthdays. YAY! But here's the twist, you can't use your mouth. =O Gasp! My birthday was November 11 and I had one finger pointing in each hand. I started showing people my finger, trying to tell them my birthday was 11/11 but it didn't work. So I started "flicking" my finger and people finally got it. LOL

At the end of the game, I ended up where I should be. XD YAY! There was this guy on my left who's birthday was Nov 15 and this other girl on my right whose birthday was on Nov 2. =D

Then the guy who was standing next to me did the most random thing. He put his arm on my shoulder and was like, "Hey there stranger, wanna be my best friend?" LOL I was like "O.o" what?" LOL It was pretty funny. We started talking and he turns out to be pretty awesome. =D

Yup.

Ummm... Oh yeah! Friday night. I went to FongYi's house! =D There were a few new people - Sammy, Steven, YingYing, Patrick... yup... I had a great time. I really missed everyone. When I came back I felt so welcomed and loved. Lol =)

There were old people there too. haha. "Old" There was Jerry, Hannah, Jeramy, Ah Heng/Ah Ba, AiLian, Jessica, Ah Joe, Crystal... yaehh... lots of people.

Okay, teacher wants us to turn off monitor... TTFN, Tata for Now. XD

I can blog at school

Okay, so I am at school right now. Yes, I am in 1st Period sitting right in front of a computer. Yes, typing this thing up. I finished my class work okay? And I don't want to do keyboarding. Well, technically, I am already typing. So it counts as practice. Yay! =D

Anyway, nothing much in class. Life Skills is boring. They are telling me things that I already know or are useless. I think the only thing good about this class is the fact that I can sit in front of a computer and have access to limited internet and the keyboarding. Hey, at least I'll learn how to type properly. LOlL

So this girl, that's sitting on my left. Her name's Lydia. She's so awesome. LOL J/k At least I have some kind of company when I am here.

Wow, my cell is vibrating. Guess who tried to call me - THE SCHOOL. I am alraedy in school. LOL They should summon me out, not call meh!! Rawr!!

Anyway, teacher is writing a few websites on the board now. She wants us to take a career quiz. Yup. Yup.

WTH, I just finished taking the quiz and I didn't get any results. =.=" All there was were a bunch of advertisements after another. Jeeze.

Right now, I hear a buzzing sound and it so annoying. Lydia said she couldn't hear it. I was like what?! Then she was like "the AC?" I was like "That's the AC?! Wow, it's really annoying." Basically, it sounds like a loud mosquito.

Now we're taking an aptitude test. It is a weird test. =.=" It is so boring. >.>" Why do I have to take this class?! WHY?! I wanted to take the robotics class at ELAC that would PAY me $500 when the class is over. omg. =.=" I feel stupid taking this quiz. GAH....I've done like 150+ questions... and I am STILL NOT DONE.. >.>"

OMG I AM DONE.. but they ask for personal info again.. gah i think i did another test for no reason....

And i published this post at home..... cuz the bell rang.. and i had to log off... yup

An old new car?

Okay, so my dad just bought a used car about an hour or two ago. It's a silver 1994 Toyota Camry. When my mom told me it was a 1994 Camry,

Me, "Cuz Alan's the only person I know with a Camry!!"
